Verla differs from most of the museums, where the items on display have been brought from elsewhere and isolated from their original environment. At Verla the opposite applies: traditions are honoured and nothing has been removed. The machines, more or less in running order, are still there for visitors to see and admire - a time travel back to the summer of 1964, when the mill was shut down. Only the mill workers are missing, yet even so they are present in many ways.
